• Kompservisas: Highly recommended for business-class laptops. They specialize specifically in used and refurbished corporate computers.Location: Algirdo g. 32 Vilnius.
• Kilobaitas: One of Lithuania’s longest-running hardware chains. They consistently stock refurbished business laptops and have received positive customer feedback specifically for buying refurbished ThinkPads.Locations: Kalvarijų g. 98 and Švitrigailos g. 5.
• Elektronikos taškas: One of the largest physical outlets for used and open-box electronics in Lithuania. They feature dedicated IT sections with business-grade notebooks.Location: Paneriškių g. 5F, Vilnius.

Buying a 13-inch ultraportable laptop is perfect for travel, as it keeps the weight low while preserving excellent Linux compatibility and standard keyboard sizes. When shopping corporate refurbished in Lithuania, you should focus on the "X" line of ThinkPads or the 73xx line of Dell Latitudes, which drop the weight down to around 1.2 to 1.3 kg (compared to 1.6+ kg for 14-inch/15-inch versions). These sub-14-inch travel laptops fit perfectly within your €400 budget:✈️ Top Small Travel Laptops for LinuxLenovo

ThinkPad X390 / X13 (Gen 1 or Gen 2):Travel Specs: A compact 13.3-inch screen, highly durable carbon-fiber/magnesium shell, and a weight of roughly 1.28 kg.Availability: Widely stocked by Baltic refurbishers. You can find these starting from €150 to €270 depending on the generation and processor.Linux Perks: Flawless Linux kernel compatibility out of the box. ThinkPad keyboards remain highly comfortable even on the road.Note: The RAM on these models is soldered to the motherboard. Make sure you purchase a configuration with 16GB of RAM so you are set for the future.

Dell Latitude 7300 / 7310 / 7320:Travel Specs: Premium metal or carbon chassis, exceptional battery optimization, 13.3-inch display, and weighs only 1.22 kg.Availability: Available locally and via regional marketplaces like Refurbed Lithuania around €240 to €350.Linux Perks: Very reliable Intel Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chipsets that require zero manual driver installation on Ubuntu or Mint.

🧳 Specific Travel Advice for the Baltic/EU MarketLook for USB-C Charging (Type-C įkrovimas): All of the models listed above charge via standard USB-C. This means you do not need to pack a heavy, proprietary power brick. You can use the exact same lightweight USB-C charger for your laptop, phone, and headphones while traveling.Prioritize Screen Brightness: When buying, look for descriptions that mention an IPS display with at least 300 nits of brightness. Cheap corporate fleets sometimes come with dim 250-nit screens, which are hard to read if you are working near a bright window at a airport, café, or train station.Battery Wear Check (Baterijos nusidėvėjimas): Since you are traveling, battery life matters significantly. When buying from a local shop like Kompservisas or Kilobaitas, ask them to confirm the remaining battery health capacity (e.g., above 80%).Would you prefer to look specifically for a 2-in-1 touchscreen version (like the ThinkPad Yoga variants), or do you prefer a standard, non-touch screen matte display to avoid glare while traveling?

watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck

• Paaiškinimas "If you have it in your motherboard BIOS (I have an Asus Prime X370 Pro motherboard) try and disable the C6 power functionality and set it from automatic to manual. " "Linux requests that the system reduces the voltage to the CPU too much and the motherboard will allow it to do so which results in Linux locking up. Symptoms include: unresponsible keyboard / mouse input, whatever is on the screen freezes there, and the system is unresponsive to ssh, although will still ping. If there is sound playing then the last of the audio buffer will play out, repeat 2-3 times and then stop. There is nothing in /var/log/messages. This may happen once or twice a month. At totally unpredictable times - normally when I am surfing the net. If you can, try to disable this in your motherboard BIOS / UEFI, as the hardware shouldn't allow the system to drop the power this low. The software kernel option is complicated, since it depends on kernel changes. Since disabling the features in the UEFI, the problem hasn't recurred." https://askubuntu.com/questions/1087275/random-freezes-on-ubuntu-18-04-with-error-watchdog-bug-soft-lockup-cpu11
